Current Project: Heaven On Earth

For three generations, my ancestors were members of the Oneida Community, the most radical utopian society in American history. From 1848-1880, the Community strove to embody their vision of a selfless existence in every facet of life. At their communal home in upstate New York, they felt they had realized “heaven on earth”. My current project is a personal look at the memory of space, the fabric of ancestry and the female experience of this audacious human experiment.
